My name is Andrea Balogun.
I'm A social media Strategist | designer
at Studio Workshop Group.

I didn't want to go to college.

I thought I would be a lifetime background singer or audio/recording engineer. I was not interested in going to a 4-year college. But I didn't have a solid plan, and because my mom said so (lol), I went to Central State University.

And I'm so glad I did.

I went to CSU on a full academic scholarship and graduated with a bachelors degree in Accounting. While in college, I was able to cultivate my creative side and learn the basics of business. I toured with the Grammy-nominated Central University Chorus as a singer and learned the ins and outs of what it takes to do music business on the road.

Fast forward to 2014, when I received my Masters of Science degree in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University. I graduated with a business plan for a company that didn't exist.

That's when I started Studio Workshop Group.  At the time, I was working at Sony/ATV Music Publishing and wanted to find a way to transition out of the accounting world. With a diverse background in finance, vocal performance and music business, I knew I had some expertise on business/marketing techniques and lots of experience creating and performing music.

I'm currently freelancing in the world of social media management and graphic design. I've seen a lot of growth in my web design clientele so I'm a Squarespace Circle Member.

After all these years, I've discovered that my true passion is to help creatives with their design and online presence. Having worked with several independent artists and provided vital advice, I created this platform to reach others who might need the insight.
